Friday January 25th sees TUMBLEWEED revisit an old friend in St.Kilda, the Espy Gershwin Room.

It’s Been a while since anyone’s been able to say that but the ‘weed are pretty stoked with the concept. The fella writing this has been lucky enough to see first hand the Espy renovations and can honestly say, “My flabber was gasted and my gob was smacked.” The Gershwin Room is as grand as it ever was and the rest of the place is now quite palatial.

Musical legends in Australia, the ‘stoner rock’ riffs of Wollongong’s Tumbleweed inspired a whole generation of music lovers when they emerged in 1990s from the seeds of the Proton Energy Pills. Tumbleweed burst onto the scene in a huge way by gaining infamy courtesy of a national support slot to the one and only Australian tour by the legendary Nirvana back in 1992.
