The Meanies are launching their new 7” single ’Shutdown’ which comes out October 9. Recorded 25 years ago by Shane O’Mara at his studio Yikesville, ’Shutdown’ is seeing the light of day for the very first time. It’s not your average bear as far as The Meanies usual sound goes but hey, a change is as good as a holiday, and they can’t afford one of those right now. On the b-side of the 7” you’ll find Frenzal Rhomb and Perth punks Leeches! doing renditions of Meanies classics. Special guests on the day are spectacular 3 piece fuzz sludge band BUDD who have a reissue of their classic EP ‘Ovit’ coming out Oct 3 along with Benny J & The Psych Ward who has a fantabulous debut album ’Super!’ out on September 19 and cracking Bendigo punks RELAYS kicking the dew off the grass.
