TRACKLIST
A FEW WORDS
Following their 2025 singles ‘So Far’ and ‘Sparrow’, Roller One are very pleased to announce that their new album Fate Done Nice, will be released on April 17 via Cheersquad Records & Tapes. To celebrate the news, they’re also releasing the beautifully languid stylings of their new single ‘Motorsports’.
While the guitars on ‘So Far’ chugged with a persistent groove, like prime-era Smog, and ‘Sparrow’ explored folkier territory – with its wistful melodies and jangly guitars, ‘Motorsports’ takes a languid drive down the centre-line of both those styles. Bill Callahan would be proud of the space and poetry at play on the song, as wistful guitar chemtrails drift from the speakers and Fergus McAlpin (guitar, vocals) sings of the wider implications of daydreaming.
“The song is a moment of fatigued reflection backdropped by a distant view of the city lights before having to return back into chaos,” explains McAlpin.
Roller One launch their new single on Feb 27th at Capel Soundbar, Rye VIC
