Trouble Juice Interview
A superb write-up of Cahill Kelly’s fabulous record ‘Classical and Cool Jazz’ by Trouble Juice. Put on the record, pour yourself a drink and read along with this track-by-track.

“On his debut album Classical and Cool Jazz, Melbourne songwriter Cahill Kelly invites listeners into his evocative world of psychedelic blues blended with a tinge of avant-pop, that easily has us charmed by the inventive folk rocker. To help us get to know the album a little better, Cahill kindly walked us through each track on the record.”

T. Wilds is set to release her forthcoming album “Ten Songs” this October through Cheersquad Records & Tapes.

I Swim’ is the first single off the album “Ten Songs” and it speaks to the cycle of inspiration versus misery in creative and everyday life. One of the more up-tempo and melodic songs on the album.

Melbourne indie-folk-rock revivalist Cahill Kelly‘s first offering of his debut album Classical and Cool Jazz, is the single ‘World upon a Shelf’, a track filled with swagger and sentimental musing. Using objects on his mantelpiece as a source of lyrical inspiration, ‘World upon a Shelf’ sees Kelly reflecting on the notion that all our encounters throughout life contain profound meaning beneath the surface.

Melbourne’s Nick Batterham is thrilled to reveal another stunning cut from his forthcoming album Lovebirds, with his latest single Thirty Four’. Following the subdued harmonies of No Perfect Manand the propelling cacophony of sounds on Turbulence, the accomplished composer and songwriter is rounding out a trio of gems lifted from Lovebirds with his latest offering ‘Thirty Four’.

‘Thirty Four’ is a breathtaking display of Nick Batterham’s lush songwriting and truly emotive lyricism. Classical instruments and a slide guitar join forces to build the feeling of a storm brewing.
